'ORGANIC"

 

Dear doll makers and followers,

Eco-friendly and organic are the words that we often hear nowadays as we become increasingly aware of our ever-changing envoirnment, climate and health issues in combination with the desire to live a longer and healthier life. Chemicals have attributed to rash and allergies and even mental symptoms. We are exposed to chemicals daily, breath them in and absorb through our skin. These effects make us aware and therefore the trend to choose for organic.

As regard to this we are happy to offically launch an organic yarn, the DOLLY MOrganic. A new addition to the collection of DollyMo yarns, a yarn spun 100% organically according to ECOCERT regulations. 

This exceptionally soft yarn has been produced on a small scale farm in France. The producer behind this yarn is Creation Mohair. The yarn has a composition of 89% mohair, 10% fine merino and 1% nylon. As the yarn is artisan made irregularity can occur. This does not effect the quality nor the hairiness of the yarn. The yarn creates soft, thick and fluffy wigs and is available in 5 delicious colours: honey blonde, light brown, rust, dark brown and red ginger.

Maria Asenova a talented doll artist from Bulgaria has contributed to this yarn. We thank her for her valuable advice regarding the colour and working with this yarn. Her tip: gently pull away the loose fibres while crocheting or knitting your project to enhance long hair. Once the wig cap is made, brush the hairs well for the perfect shine and finish. Maria uses a slicker brush for this.

LANG YARN MOHAIR   Doll made by Maria Asenova. Maria used "Lang Yarn          Mohair" in the colour "Mahogany" for the wig. This is a semi-organic plant-dyed yarn.

Now also available through the online shop are the Scanfil Organic Cotton threads, a product from the Netherlands produced in the EU. It comes in 34 shades and is GOTS certified. The wooden spools contain 100 meters of strong cotton thread. Price: € 2,50 per spool.

"ORGANIC"  

Beste poppenmaaksters en geinteresseerden,

Mileuvriendelijk en biologisch zijn de woorden die wij tegenwoordig vaak horen. Wij worden dagelijks blootgesteld aan chemicaliën, ademen ze in en nemen deze via onze huid op. Deze schadelijke effecten maken ons bewust om te kiezen voor biologische producten.

Mede hierdoor zijn wij verheugd een 100% biologisch garen geheten DOLLY MOrganic officleel te lanceren, een nieuwe toevoeging aan de collectie van de DollyMo garens. Het is gesponnen volgens ECOCERT verordeningen.

Dit uitzonderlijk zachte product is geproduceerd op een kleinschalige boerderij in Frankrijk. De producent achter het garen is Creation Mohair. Het is samengesteld uit 89% mohair, 10% baby merino extra fijn en 1% nylon. Aangezien het ambachtelijk is gemaakt, kunnen er onregelmatigheden in de draad optreden. Dit heeft echter geen invloed op de kwaliteit of lengte van de haren van het mohair. Het product maakt mooie, zachte, dikke pruiken en is verkrijgbaar in 5 prachtige natuurlijke kleuren: honingblond, lichtbruin, roest, donkerbruin en Pippi Langkous.

Maria Asenova, een getalenteerde poppenmaakster uit Bulgarije, heeft bijgedragen aan dit product. Wij danken haar voor de waardevolle adviezen met betrekking tot de kleur en het werken met dit garen. Haar tip: bij het haken of breien de losse zachte haren vooral voorzichtig plukken en niet meehaken om lange haren te bevorderen. Zodra het pruikje af is, de haartjes goed borstelen voor de perfecte glans en afwerking. Maria gebruikt hiervoor een slicker borstel.
